Comprehensive training on diisocyanate handling and safety protocols
The European REACH Regulation requires companies to train all their employees who are in contact with diisocyanates.
Diisocyanate is a key component in polyurea coatings, but it also poses potential health and safety risks if not handled properly. In order to protect workers, clients, and the environment, it’s essential that all polyurea applicators undergo comprehensive training on diisocyanate handling and safety protocols.

PDA Europe, in coordination with ISOPA – The Association of diisocyanates & polyols producers, the European Aliphatic Isocyanates Producer Association (ALIPA), and several other industries in the polyurethane (PU) industry, launched a comprehensive training programme to ensure the safe use of diisocyanates for producers and professional users all over Europe.

This training is not only a legal requirement, but also a responsible practice to ensure the well-being of everyone involved in the application process. By understanding the proper handling, storage, and disposal of diisocyanate, applicators can minimize the risks of exposure and prevent potential accidents or injuries.
As the Association of the polyurea industry, PDA Europe strongly urge all applicators to prioritize safety by completing the necessary training.
Let’s work together to maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in our industry.
